Useful properties of our Kombucha
Kombucha contains glucaric acid, which may aid in the detoxification processes in the body, helping the liver remove toxins more efficiently.
- Joint HealthThe glucosamines found in kombucha can promote the production of hyaluronic acid, which maintains moisture in the joints and reduces discomfort associated with arthritis.
- Weight ManagementAlthough kombucha is not directly a weight loss aid, its consumption can contribute to metabolism normalization thanks to improved digestion and the presence of probiotics.
It's important to remember that while kombucha has many potential health benefits, its consumption should be combined with a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Also, individual tolerance should be considered, and in some cases, it may be advisable to consult a doctor before including kombucha in your diet.
The fermentation process of kombucha is an art and science at the same time, turning a simple sweet tea into a drink rich in flavor and beneficial properties. It is based on the interaction between tea, sugar and a culture of microorganisms known as SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). The fermentation process is divided into several stages:
It all starts with making the base for kombucha — sweet tea. To do this, tea (black, green or herbal) is brewed in hot water, after which sugar is added to it. This sugar serves as nutrition for the SCOBY culture.
After primary fermentation, kombucha can be subjected to secondary fermentation by adding fruits, berries, herbs or other ingredients for flavoring. The drink is tightly closed and left for several days for fermentation, which allows carbon dioxide to develop and enhance the taste.
This complex and beautiful fermentation process makes kombucha not only delicious, but also a healthy drink rich in live crops, antioxidants and other nutrients that promote health and well-being.
